RIP, Rose…

Thea here…

While I’m old enough to hazily remember Betty White’s character Sue Ann Nivens on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, and much of her other, diverse, brilliant filmography, perhaps the most endearing and enduring role to me was her character “Rose” on Golden Girls.  As I’m sure others can relate, that show reflected the women in my life growing up, who for all their flaws and hang-ups, remained role models of perseverance and strength throughout all types of adversity, often with a belly laugh or two, and as a result, kept those around them strong…and laughing.

One of my goals for 2022, is to help at least one person understand and embrace the value in those relationships once again.

Rest in peace, to the incomparable Betty White.
